The best barracks I've ever seen lol

Beautiful park with nice staff. Electric and water on site with dump station available. Great Verizon coverage and over a dozen over the air channels. Wide back in sites with hook ups in the rear. Will stay here again when in the area.

Lesson learned here: If you want to break the law at Johnson County Park...bring an RV

Hoosier Horse Park is a great place to show dressage. There are two dressage rings, and a full size makeup ring on a several feet thick crushed limestone base that drains well and provides secure footing even after a summer downpour. Stalls are permanent with wood probably 7 feet or taller on 3 sides with wire fronts. There is a large covered arena with a big outdoor ring next to it and plenty of parking.

I appreciate the response to my review. And I understand the reasoning behind the decision. Its still wrong. How many DNR officers are in that area? How many sheriffs? Seems like a drastic choice was made to cover the incompetence of those paid to inforce the rules. That wooded area behind the tent sites isn't that big, and for a meth lab to go unnoticed even for a day is mind boggling. Banning all tent camping is not the solution to the crimes being committed. Increased patrols that include visiting the campsites, and the encouragement of law abiding campers to report suspicious behavior would be a better solution. I don't doubt you have noticed less crimes from the RV campers. I propose that just as many RV campers have committed crimes and haven't been caught. Mostly due to lack of patrols, and the general incompetence of those paid to enforce the rules.

This place is weird. I went here with my mom a while back and we couldn’t find any hiking areas. It seems like a property with a small live music venue and a bunch of horse stables. We also got a really weird feeling while were here

My family and I used to love camping here. Until we were informed that they no longer allow tent camping. Apparently some bad seeds were manufacturing meth in the woods behind the tent sites. They were eventually caught, and arrested, and the powers that be decided to ban all tent campers because of this. Makes no sense to ban everyone because of the actions of a few. RV camping is still allowed, but no tents. I propose that meth can be manufactured in an RV more readily than with a tent..apparently the ones in charge have never seen Breaking Bad. Anyone else who feels that it is unfair to ban tent camping because of this, don't hesitate to call Johnson County Park and tell them so. This aggression will not stand, man
